He hasn’t raced since his debut at Murray Bridge back in July where he led throughout in the worst ground and was still too good for them. Given a good break and his two trials to get ready have been very strong. He’s ready to go.

1 Kiki Express (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a quality filly for Travis Doudle that has been kept on ice since her resumption on September 17 where she was just off the speed and battled on nicely when second to Alpha Flight. Tick over jumpout win was sharp and her form from Victoria reads very well for a race like this.

Long Shot

5 Rockstar Meggsy (Bet Now: $SP.00) is hard to beat against these. Both runs this time in have come on the Parks track, bolting up fresh before taking on the older horses two weeks back and didn’t quite get the rub of the green behind Chosen Blonde. Back to her own age, she can bounce back.

3 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now: $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday over 2000m here. She was just left flat footed when they dashed but she actually stayed on and wasn’t beaten too far behind Oath Of Omerta. Like her back up to 2500m and is hard fit, in form.

1 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now: $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Friday at Gawler in a Jericho Cup Qualifier where the hectic tempo just found him out and he whacked away without threatening behind The Rattlin’ Bog. If that hasn’t busted him, he’s good enough to take out a relatively thin race like this.

Long Shot

5 Yesugei (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran fourth in the Oath Of Omerta race mentioned above from last Saturday. He led throughout and despite being a rank outsider in betting, gee he stuck on really well and wasn’t beaten too far. Think 2500m will be fine, he’ll be out of trouble near the speed and run a positive race.

4 Pontedera (Bet Now: $SP.00) is prepped up big time for a first up win IMO. He’s a promising animal for Michael Hickmott that resumes, having not raced since the Oakbank Carnival when narrowly beaten in a maiden, pulling up lame post race in just missing. One jumpout and three trials to get ready, fitness won’t be an issue.

8 Pannier (Bet Now: $SP.00) was a late nomination for this race which I find interesting given he’s trained in Victoria by Henry Dwyer so he’s looking to place this horse to advantage fresh. His trial/jumpout work has been quite encouraging, he’s down in the weights and maps ideally.

Long Shot

7 Arty Miss (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a daughter of Winning Rupert for Will Clarken that resumes. She’s had a massive grounding for start one, with several jumpouts and two trials to get ready. She seems to be getting better with each hit out, so watch the market and see if it likes her.

I think class alone will be enough for 1 Point Blaze (Bet Now: $SP.00) to get the win. She ran two weeks ago over 1300m on tbe Parks track and loomed to win but had answers for the sharp finale produced by My Khalifa. Proven at this track/distance and back to 64 grade, she appeals big time.

2 Wild Imagination (Bet Now: $SP.00) has a good second up record so she commands respect. Resumed over 1200m here three weeks back and looked the winner for the most part but couldn’t quite finish it off and was bloused the final couple of strides by stablemate Somewatt Fabulous. Fitter, upside, she appeals.

Long Shot

Fitter and up to 1200m are two big ticks for 5 Lady Simone (Bet Now: $SP.00). She resumed over 1000m two weeks back on the Parks track where she had a suck run behind the speed and battled away well enough, beaten just over two lengths by Chosen Blonde. Like her up in trip and has good upside.

6 Disco Tilmorn (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks to be flying and I think she can take out this moderate race. She ran at Murray Bridge last start when back and wide but loved the way she closed off late when close up behind Lonrodex, clocking some of the better late splits of the meeting. If she’s within range on the turn, I think she wins.

10 Rock Hard (Bet Now: $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Friday at Gawler where he was well tried late and after getting a suck run near the speed, he was able to finish best and wear down Archery Butts in a good effort. Now he’s found winning form, he can go on with it.

Long Shot

5 Lakehurst (Bet Now: $SP.00) is one for wider exotics. They rode him with more intent two weeks back on the Parks track, rolling forward, and unfortunately the tempo was too hot, so being near that, he tired late behind Pudding. I think you’ll see a better effort with a more conservative steer.

7 Pudding (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks to have returned in really good order. Market wanted him when he resumed over 1300m on the Parks track and after he got into a lovely spot just off the speed, he was there to pounce and that he did, drawing clear to win well. Like him up to the mile and has more upside than most.

4 Montepulciano (Bet Now: $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Team Jolly since a strong win at this track/distance. He was kept quite safe in betting and in what pretty much became survival of the fittest, he was strongest late, driving hard to nab France’s Boy. Now he’s found winning form, he can hold it.

Long Shot

6 Annika (Bet Now: $SP.00) isn’t far off a win. Whether it’s here, not sure, but she’s racing in solid enough form. Ran over 1400m at Balaklava last start where she looked the winner but couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to surprise winner Hypercane. I think with a soft trip, 1600m should be fine.

Fitter and up to 1100m are two big ticks for 9 Legless Lady (Bet Now: $SP.00). This mare resumed two weeks ago over 1000m on the Parks track and was very good from off the speed when second to Diamonds, with the ride being a beauty in defeat. Is a second up winner and up to 1100m on the main track,she appeals.

6 Howl (Bet Now: $SP.00) is flying for David Jolly. He ran over 1050m three weeks ago where he got back to near last and in a tricky spot but he rocketed to the line late when a close up third to Rushaway Lad. That form didn’t stand up at all last Saturday, which is a query, but this horse does have a decent engine under the hood.

Long Shot

11 Philonize (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a speed demon for Dion Koch that resumes. This mare hasn’t raced since March 5 when leading and tiring late, producing an end of prep run behind Larimer Street. She does race very well on the fresh side and with two trials under the belt, she’s ready to rock and roll.

2 Knightstown (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a handy four year old for the Richards/Moyle camp that resumed a few weeks ago. He got a fair way out of his ground and was drawn nearer the inside, which wasn’t the spot to be, so to finish off like he did behind Rushaway Lad was a run full of merit. Has to be rated highly.

12 Big Shaq (Bet Now: $SP.00) deserves another look. He comes back to 1200m after racing over 1300m on the Parks track where I thought he had a decent enough run in transit behind the genuine tempo and was there to threaten on the turn but went backwards in the straight. Maiden win prior was strong so not penning him yet.

Long Shot

13 Dingabledinga (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a son of Clangalang that resumes. He hasn’t raced since July 20 at Gawler when failing to fire in a plain effort behind Lomax. Thought his trial behind Munster was a good piece of work and albeit better suited over further, he does have enough talent to be quite competitive here.

7 Morty (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the one on the up and has upside compared to most. I had a peanut on him at $51+ in the Murray Bridge Cup and at the top of the straight, he looked like a winning threat but just couldn’t quite finish it off. Hard fit now and up to a suitable trip, a win wouldn’t shock at all.

2 Farooq (Bet Now: $SP.00) commands respect. He resumed in the Murray Bridge Cup where hew as back near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, I liked the way he finished his race off behind Agreeable. Fitter, up in trip, he’ll sit back and be strong at the end.

Long Shot

Back in trip I hate for 11 The Map (Bet Now: $SP.00), but she is a mare with good promise. She was well tried over 1950m on the Parks track two weeks back and the bets were landed. Toeroek landed her in a plum spot and got going on the turn to build the revs, which was the perfect move for a momentum horse. Think she can measure up in a thin race.

8 Zarace (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been up a while but is holding his form well enough. Solid third to Taunting two back before racing on the course proper again when nearer the inside and battled on strongly late when close up behind Howl. I reckon with a more aggressive ride, he can bounce back.

11 Rodeo (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a key threat. She has placed in both runs this prep, the latest being a few weeks ago at this trip when near the speed and battled on really well in defeat behind Sea Witness, finishing a close up third. Reckon with a touch more quiet steer, she’ll be more effective at the end.

Long Shot

3 Chosen Blonde (Bet Now: $SP.00) has come back in super order. This mare is 2/2 this time in. Class got her home fresh at Gawler before going to the Parks track where she was there to be run down but found plenty under pressure to win again. Her best is on the Parks track. Hopefully can translate that to the course proper.
