Georgia QB Stetson Bennett OVER 15.5 rushing yards (-140)

Normally, a bet with odds this high would not be included. When it comes to prop bets, you must take the numbers where you can get them.

Bennett has been known to run this season. Going up against the 3-3-5 defense of TCU, there will be some opportunity for him to get out of the pocket and scamper for a 1st down or 2. With all the explosive weapons on Georgia, from Brock Bowers to Kenny McIntosh, Bennett will get lost in the mix and a few rushes is all we need for this to go Over 15.5.

TCU WR Quentin Johnston UNDER 82.5 receiving yards (-122)

Johnston is a big play threat. During the 2022 season, he had 1,066 yards on just 59 receptions. This 18.1 Yard average ranked 23rd in the nation and has made him a potential 1st-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

During the Fiesta Bowl semi-final, Johnston had 6 receptions for 163 yards, an average of 27.2. Due to bad tackling by Michigan, he had 110 yards after the catch. Georgia DBs will tackle much better and the Bulldogs’ defense will be able to slow down Johnston. With QB Max Duggan constantly being under pressure, it will also be difficult for him to find Johnston down field. Under 82.5 is a great play.

Highest Scoring Quarter: 2nd Quarter (+180)

Even though this is the favored quarter, it is still the best bet at +180.

TCU has been a slow starting team this season. This is a main reason it has had 6 double-digit comebacks in 2022. But it cannot expect to do the same in the 2nd half of this game.

Georgia, under coach Kirby Smart, adjusts as well as any team in the country at halftime. This means the potential of a 3rd-quarter comeback, while at +420, is not as solid a wager as the 2nd quarter before coaches can adjust.

I think this game starts out slow in the 1st quarter and the clamps come out in the 2nd half so the best wager for this is the 2nd quarter.

Georgia TE Brock Bowers to score a TD (-190)

The best TE in the nation has averaged 14.1 yards and has 6 TD this season on 56 receptions. This is not the only place where Bowers is dangerous though. On 7 carries this season, Bowers has 94 yards and an additional 3 TDs. While this is unusual to see from a TE, Bowers is unusual at the position and his speed allows him to be used in many areas of the game. He is a big threat for a TD in this game and at -190 he is a good play. Adding this leg to a parlay also makes wonderful sense. Perhaps along side Bennett Over 15.5 rushing yards at (-140).
