Week 7 features a clash between two NFC East rivals, with the Giants hosting the Commanders.
Washington enters this week fresh off a 24-16 win over the Falcons in Atlanta. The Commanders defense picked off Falcons QB Desmond Ridder three times in the second half en route to improving its record to 3-3 on the season.
QB Sam Howell wasn’t used a ton, but he got the job done for the Commanders last Sunday. The signal caller completed 14 of his 23 pass attempts for 151 yards; he found the end zone on three separate occasions while not turning the ball over at all.
Meanwhile, the Giants come limping into Week 7, sporting an 1-5 record after losing to the Bills on “Sunday Night Football.” With no Daniel Jones, the veteran Tyrod Taylor was at the helm for New York, and despite holding a lead in the fourth quarter, Big Blue was unable to get the victory in prime time.
The New York defense gave Josh Allen and Co. fits through the first three quarters, holding Buffalo pointless entering the final 15 minutes. However, the offense of the Giants could not find the end zone, either, settling for field goals before Allen secured two touchdowns in the final quarter to pull ahead.
The matchup is the first of two meetings in a span of five weeks between the two divisional foes. Washington is 2-1 so far on the season against the NFC East, while New York is looking for its first divisional win on the year.
