Last Thursday in Los Angeles, founder and CEO of her eponymous fashion brand Nili Lotan teamed up with stylist Karla Welch to co-host a dinner at Gigi’s restaurant. The reason for the gathering? The opening of Nili Lotan’s first West Coast Store, which is situated in the heart of Sycamore Avenue. Plus, the night marked the brand’s 20th anniversary, so a celebration was indeed in order.

The guest list was a testament to the influence of Nili Lotan—among the attendees were Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Adwoa Aboah, Zoe Lister-Jones, Luke Gilford, and many more. Most everyone wore Lotan’s slick, empowering pieces (military-esque tailoring and slip dresses are hallmarks of the brand. All were treated to an array of seafood dishes, paying homage to the West Coast’s distinctive culinary palette, from oysters and scallops to smoked trout rillettes. It was a distinctly LA night and a very warm welcome for the designer.
