Helgo Also Loses to the Brazilian

Helgo is best known for her exploits on the ITF circuit, where she has won five singles and seven doubles titles. Her most recent title was In Estonia in November 2022. That win was the first time she had been in a final at that level on any surface other than c lay.

She has also represented Norway in the Fed Cup with her current record reading 21 wins to ten losses.

Like Trevisan, she lost her first match in the United Cup to the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, dropping her serve once in the first set, and then twice more at the start of the second.

Closely fought in the first set, it was mainly one way traffic in the second.

Based upon their relative results against Haddad Maia, Helgo may consider that she is in with a chance. However, if Trevisan can shake off the rust and play to her true capabilities, she should win with comparative ease.
