KeyBank Northwest Ohio Market – Dan Dower, KeyBank Market President for Northwest Ohio, has earned the 20 Under 40 Award for his community involvement and service.
Since 1996, 20 young community leaders have been nominated for the coveted prize. The leadership recognition program honors dynamic individuals under the age of 40 from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or in the community.
Dower joined KeyBank in 2013, and was elevated to Market President in 2023. He is in charge of overseeing the bank’s activities and resources, as well as its 200+ workers in the market and representing Key in the community. He was the youngest of 25 peers around the country when he was elevated to Commercial Sales Leader for Northwest Ohio in 2022.

He originated nearly $40 million in entirely forgiving PPP loans for his clients throughout the pandemic. He was named a KeyBank “Star Performer” for seven years in a row, from 2015 to 2021. He began his career in his family’s building materials business as a Bellevue native. He joined Huntington Bank in Toledo in 2010 and managed a $80 million loan portfolio in less than two years.
He is a board member of Imagination Station, a board vice president and treasurer for Leadership Toledo, and a board member and coach for The Miracle League of Northwest Ohio. He co-led a Miracle League capital campaign that raised approximately $300,000 for enhancements to their accessible baseball complex in Northwood. He is a United Way of Greater Toledo Hall of Fame campaign manager.
In addition to celebrating the honorees, the program aims to inspire young people in our community to become community leaders.
