While November is National Gratitude Month, our Team Members are active in their Communities all year and play an important role in living our Covia principle, Act Responsibly. We take great satisfaction in the work we perform to build our communities, and we are dedicated to volunteers through a variety of programs, including:
24 hours of compensated volunteer time each year; annual matching of up to $1,000 in individual Team Member donations; and grants to tax-exempt organizations when Team Members contribute at least 20 hours of their personal time and talent.

Furthermore, our Covia Cares Action Days encourage Team Members to use their service hours, and we are pleased of the effect our facilities have made as a result of this program.
Our Camden, Tennessee, facility’s sponsorship of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is one of the most famous examples. Team Members organize food for deliveries, pack food contributions, and assemble backpacks for starving children every year. Please watch this video to understand more about how this plant helps to the organization’s support of local families experiencing food insecurity.
