The Kfc Foundation will give $1 million in grants to 100 community-based non-profit groups to help them complete a project on their wish list. The Kentucky Fried Wishes initiative of the KFC Foundation helps communities by sponsoring community development projects on the wish lists of non-profit organizations.
“We’re so inspired by these incredible non-profits’ work, and we’re honored to help serve joy by positively impacting hundreds of communities across the country with this funding,” said Emma Horn, Executive Director of the KFC Foundation. “With our Kentucky Fried Wishes program now in its third year, we’re proud to have more than doubled last year’s donation amount and helped fund more community projects than ever before.”
Since 2021, the Kentucky Fried Wishes program of the KFC Foundation has invested over $1.6 million in over 160 local non-profit groups.
This year’s grant recipients include a mix of nominations from local KFC restaurant teams and non-profit self-nominations from around 35 states, and they support a wide range of causes and communities, including:
Anson County Partnership for Children, based in Wadesboro, NC, strives to make the county a better environment for children by improving early care and education, assisting families, advancing child health, and increasing literacy. Several KFC employees in the area have offered their time to assist Anson County Partnership for Children with events and activities. The Kentucky Fried Wishes award will assist the group in purchasing and stocking a book vending machine in the local health department’s waiting area for one year.

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO), based in Macedonia, OH, seeks to develop young girls’ courage, confidence, and character. Sandra Rapp, a local KFC franchisee and former Girl Scout, participates on the GSNEO STEM Advisory and STEM Center Capital Campaign Committees and recommended the Kentucky Fried Wishes initiative to the organization. The Kentucky Fried Wishes grant will assist the non-profit with the construction of an ADA-accessible StarLab Dome to provide STEM-oriented educational experiences to girls and boys across the GSNEO region’s 18 counties.
Peer 1 on 1 is a caring and inclusive community that empowers youth and teens on the autism spectrum via individualized one-on-one interactions to improve their social and communication skills. It is based in Cypress, CA. To support the charity’s efforts, the local KFC generously provides meals to the youngsters, and the store manager introduced the organization to the grant program. The Kentucky Fried Wishes grant will cover the organization’s “quiet space,” a building project that will provide a stress-relieving environment, allowing for quicker relaxation as well as increased attention and production.

The KFC Foundation, which operates independently of KFC Corporation and is led by a board of KFC franchisees, receives financial support from the Franchise Donation Program, in which a portion of every case of Secret Recipe Fries sold at participating restaurants goes directly to the KFC Foundation.
KFC employees also contribute to the KFC Foundation by encouraging customers to Round Up their orders during specified Round Up windows. From September 10 through November 12, KFC customers can participate in this year’s Round Up fundraising event at participating restaurants to help donate to next year’s Kentucky Fried Wishes non-profit grant recipients.
