Our commitments to Forest Stewardship, the environment and the role of forests and wood products as a natural climate solution, Team Members and our communities, and responsible governance can all have a significant impact on our ability to maximise a variety of values for our stakeholders. We recognise that these pillars are the cornerstone for our long-term success.

FORESTS

Forest Stewardship: We are devoted to healthy and sustainable forests.

Goal:

We continuously update our forest inventory and maintain 100% Sustainable Forestry Initiative ® (SFI) or Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC) accreditation of our timberlands.

Use only optimal Management practises.

Apply research findings to continuously improve our forest management and resource conservation practises.

Clean Water: We are committed to preserving water-related habitats.

PLANET

Environmental Footprint: We prioritise responsible production and resource efficiency, emphasising conservation and the use of renewable energy.

Goal:

Continue to strive for complete compliance with environmental regulations and permits.

Reduce energy consumption at our production sites by 10% by 2030.

By 2050, we hope to have reused, recycled, or repurposed 99% of what may have been garbage from our activities.

By 2050, 95% of thermal energy will be generated by biomass.

Carbon & Climate: We attempt to maximise the benefits of working forests by delivering solutions that assist address the effects of climate change.

PEOPLE

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: We are committed to creating, supporting, and sustaining a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in which every employee believes their ideas and unique perspectives are heard and valued.

Goal:

Double the representation of women and minorities in Wood Products leadership roles from 2022 levels by 2030.

Collaborate with Native tribes on environmental and community activities.

Hiring and Retention: We work to attract talent for our current and future workforces.

Goal:

Support policies that encourage the growth of skilled labour and work with trade schools to establish curriculum that actively supports the development of our Team Members in skilled labour jobs.

Implement benefit initiatives to guarantee that all Team Members have equal access to care.

Our Team Members are our Security.

PERFORMANCE

Governance: We are committed to making a financial contribution and providing excellent service. Sustainable results require strong environmental, social, and governance practises, ESG transparency, and risk management.

Goal:

Aim for 40% diversity on the board by 2030.

Maintain our Corporate Conduct and Ethics Code, provide ethics and integrity training to our workers, and encourage corporate integrity across our value chain.

Human rights must be respected and promoted, and our Supplier Code of Conduct must be followed.

Maintain ESG monitoring by the Board and committees, report on ESG on a regular basis, continue to include ESG into goals and decisions, and extend ESG training.

Complete the yearly enterprise risk management process with the entire management team, which includes identifying, mitigating, ranking, and incorporating ESG risks.

Improve cyber defence programmes to protect data and systems.
