On January 4th 2024 London based Musical Artist Tony Moore will begin a 16 date tour opening for the band British Lion as they play shows together right across the UK from Aberdeen to The Isle Of Wight.

This tour will have an extra special element to it as Steve Harris, who plays bass guitar in British Lion is also bass player for Iron Maiden and in 1977 he and Tony first met when Tony was invited to become keyboard player for the band. This tour will mark the first time that both Tony and Steve have performed on the same stage for over 45 years and fittingly the opening date of the tour will be at The Cart And Horses in Stratford, East London, the venue where Iron Maiden played many of their very first shows.

Tony will be opening the tour each night presenting highlights from his acclaimed one man show, titled AWAKE, which he has been performing in London to packed houses over the last two years.

AWAKE is a multimedia, immersive experience that was written and recorded by Tony in 2021 and draws inspiration from many of the influential musicians and bands of the 70’s but with Tony’s own, highly original take on things.

Although they lost touch for a long time, Steve and Tony re-connected a few years ago and through the lockdown, had countless long distance conversations about music, much of which was about the songs and production Tony was writing and creating for the AWAKE album.

Tony says “I was sharing songs with Steve as I wrote and recorded them and when the Album was complete, his support and enthusiasm for the project made an incredible difference to me. I am thrilled to able to take these songs out on the road with Steve and the guys in British Lion and I am very blessed that they invited me to be a part of their show”

AWAKE is a concept album and show that features film and video footage specially created by Tony which supports and underwrites the music he is presenting. It’s a truly one man show where, throughout the performance, Tony alternates between Lead Guitar, Piano, Acoustic Guitar and Vocals whilst employing the latest technology to create an immersive experience for audiences.

Tony Moore is a multi instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and highly experienced performer whose eclectic career in the entertainment business tells a unique story.

From being an original member of Iron Maiden to playing piano with Meatloaf to having an Xmas hit with his own band in Holland to joining Cutting Crew as keyboard player in the late 80’s and touring the world with the iconic hit song “(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight” Tony has been involved in many pivotal moments in the world of music.
