Max Rad returns with new single ‘Holding On’.
The producer is now based in Bristol, fusing club tropes with his impeccable sense of world-building. Matching colour-soaked melodies with a rhythmic pulse, his debut album ‘Joy Wonder’ landed back in Spring through his own Three Sign label.
Often compared to Maribou State, you can also hear aspects of Channel Tres’ flexibility in there, alongside the emotional pull of Jamie xx, say.
New single ‘Holding On’ amplifies his skills, a super piece of electronic music with a bittersweet feel. A song about resolution, it carries a quiet sense of commitment, with Max Rad applying himself with resolute energy.
He comments…
“This track is about hitting troubled times in relationships, when you have to really dig deep and find trust in the things that brought you together. We can all walk away from things far too easily and good things often require work, but if you trust the love and know deep down its right, then all you can do is hold on and get through those dark places.“
Tune in now.
