CMAT will release her new Album ‘Crazymad, For Me’ on October 13th.

The wonderful Irish alt-pop talent speaks her truth, and fans absolutely love it. Her debut album was a breakout moment, turning her into a star in Ireland while making waves internationally.

New album ‘Crazymad, For Me’ is billed as “an abstract break-up album”, a 12-tracker that finds CMAT returning to her pop vision renewed. Lyrically, she’s haunted by past trauma, writing songs “about what happens when you are still angry about something that happened 10 years ago…”

New single ‘Have Fun!’ is a bold, effervescent first offering, a sign of her growth but also of the grasp that the past can have on us all. She explains…

“This is a song about ring necked parakeets that are wild in London, but it is also a song about getting over a breakup and moving on from an emotional stalemate even when you don’t, or can’t, forgive the other person’s actions. I suppose it is a song about how things in life are never satisfying, and don’t make sense, but they exist anyway and we have to make the best of it. And have fun!”

The video was shot in Dublin and Paris – so, kinda like an alt-pop James Joyce, if you think about it. Leaning in to the album’s central concept, it was pieced together by Collective Film.
