The cast Love Is Blind season 5 is returning for a special episode just two days after the finale drops on Netflix.
The teaser pokes fun at the massively delayed season 4 Reunion special, showing a crew member crossing “live” off of a sign that reads “Live reunion today.”
“It’s not live, but it is unmissable.” reads cheeky text graphics.
Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the special will bring this season’s couples and singles back together to “reflect on their relationships, break down this season’s twists and turns, and unveil secrets that have unfolded since the experiment concluded.”
From Taylor and JP’s makeup miscommunication in Mexico to the Uche/Lydia/Milton bombshell, there will be plenty of ups and downs to discuss when the special streams Sunday on Netflix.
Season 5 of Love Is Blind — which recruited 20- and 30something singles from Houston — debuted on Sept. 22. Episodes have been dropping each Friday until this week’s 10th and final episode, which will see the remaining couples heading to the altar to decide whether to say “I do” or call off their relationships.
Following the season 4 live reunion episode earlier this year, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen told The Hollywood Reporter that the show would not attempt another live reunion any time soon.
“It was Netflix’s idea to do a live reunion,” he told the outlet. “They came to us, and we all had some misgivings about it.”
The producer also said he experienced the inaugural event like most fans: sitting in his living room watching chaos unfold.
“Normally in that situation, I’d be in the control room. I’d be in the host’s ear. And I wasn’t,” he said. “I lost my mind. I was sitting in front of my TV like, ‘What is happening? Give me the updates. What’s going on?’”
Despite the stress, Coelen does not think the season 4 reunion was entirely bad.
“It was a chaotic night, but I’m an optimist,” he said. “Ultimately, the great thing that came out of that night was it showed how much significant interest there is in Love Is Blind. I really appreciated that.”
The season 5 finale of Love Is Blind drops Friday on Netflix, followed by Love Is Blind: The Reunion, airing Sunday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
