Tara Reid says filming season 2 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test was “one of the craziest experiences I’ve ever done.”

“It’s really tough,” the Days of Our Lives alum, 47, shares at the Project Angel Food Angel Awards on Saturday. “They call it the ‘World’s Toughest Test’ [for a reason].”

Even though the American Pie star watched season 1 of the Fox competitive reality series and thought there was “no way” she would ever do it, she adds that the network “convinced [me] at the last minute.”

As a result, the actress says she “didn’t have the training like everyone else did. So it was a lot harder on me.”

After spending lots of time indoors due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA strike, the actress tells she also decided the time was right to challenge herself.

“I’m at a place right now [where] I want to do something like this,” she says about competing in the show, which Premieres Monday on Fox.

“You’re home so much in your own house, you get depressed,” she adds. “So doing something like this was a great challenge for me and it was an experience I’ll never forget and I would never take it back. Even though you watch it, you’ll think I’m insane.”

“You learn a lot about yourself in the show and other people and your own strength,” she continues. “So it’s not just a physical thing, it’s a mental thing in a lot of ways [but] I’m really happy I did it.”

Other stars putting their skills to the test on the show include Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley, 26 and Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval, 40.

According to Fox, season 2’s challenges will include the ice breaker drill — during which the competitors will be submerged in a frozen lake — and attempting to cross a treacherous ravine atop a 4700 ft snowcapped mountain peak. They will also try an “emergency escape out of a helicopter submerged deep in icy waters.”

The network promises “there are no votes, and no eliminations — just survival” on the show.

Reid — who recently opened up about still being viewed as a “party girl” — says “one of the scariest things [was] getting thrown into a frozen river” out of the “many tests” she had to endure while taking part.

“It was freezing there,” she adds of filming in New Zealand’s mountains. “That was the biggest part, I think, for almost everyone, how cold it was. Your brain can’t even work anymore.”

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, season 2 premieres Monday at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
