Dogs Are Nomadic

Without a doubt, our doggos are grateful to us for giving them homes. But despite the fact that they value our company, they just simply can’t resist going outside. We have to remember that before domesticating our fur babies, they were nomadic creatures.

Maybe our dogs’ DNA is telling them that they need to see what’s out there, or maybe they’re just bored at home. Whatever the ultimate reason is, there is no denying that they love exploring, and our puppers can sometimes do crazy things just to satisfy their curiosity.

Just like this athletic pooch who goes by the name Godzilla, or Zilla for short. The four-year-old doggo became an internet sensation when a video of her jumping on a fence went viral on social media.

This jumping pup’s owner, Lindsay Hinds, shared that Zilla and her two other doggos were tasked to guard her family’s horses. And as we can see in the clip below, the three are always super excited to do their jobs. So much so, that Zilla decided to jump up on the fence!

Zilla Was Not Trained To Do This

Hinds explained that her fur baby just discovered this skill on her own and nobody taught her how to do that. Zilla does this so that she could pop her head over the fence and look at what’s going on outside. Hinds shared that the pup started with just jumping on the fence, but eventually, Zilla realized that she could jump over it.

Fortunately, despite this doggo’s abilities, she does not run away from home. Zilla simply wants to explore what’s right outside their house, nothing more.

It’s fun to have an athletic doggo like Zilla. However, we should remember to deploy precautions just in case our pups would wander away. Microchipping is one good way to give our pups a chance to find their way back home.
