Orkhon is a member of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office as a police dog for over five years now. The dog became instrumental in the County’s successful drug operation in the past. But just like any other dog, Orkhon is not immune to getting hurt in any of their services.

While chasing down a suspect in one of their operations, the dog got struck by a rushing car. Before this incident, the pooch got punched in the snout by a burglar.

The car accident heavily injured Orkhon. This incident resulted in the dog’s hospitalization. Everyone in their department got horrified when the dog met the accident. They, though, know that the pooch can overcome this ordeal because Orkhon is a fighter. When the pooch was brought to the hospital, Rich Aloy, the dog’s handler, continued chasing the suspect.

Rich knew that the pooch could take care of himself while he does his duty to the County. Rich eventually cornered the suspect and, in the long run, brought him to the prison. After this, Rich immediately went to see whether Orkhon is in good shape.

The dog’s surgery went well, and this development made Rich very happy. Rich, however, received some advice from Orkhon’s vet that the dog needs to take a rest from any strenuous activity. Rich agreed because it was for the dog’s betterment.

When Orkhon got discharged from the clinic, Rich decided to bring him home for the dog to get some rest from military service. Rich likewise enrolled the pooch in therapy sessions to regain the dog’s muscle memory. Eventually, everything paid off because Orkhon recovered after six months of continuous therapy sessions. Rich said that he does not want to hasten Orkhon’s return to the military service and will ensure the dog’s full recovery first.
