Swiss voile fabric is woven from 100% cotton long-staple yarn. It has a finer yarn count (like 100/2 Ne, 105/2 Ne, 120/2 Ne, and so on) than most cotton fabrics like Cambric, Lawn, Poplin, and such. This results in a silky-soft, cascading moiré finish. For this reason, Swiss voile fabric is ideal as a summer textile as it is breathable. Dresses made from Swiss voile are comfortable to wear. This fabric can also be used for home décor and sheer curtains for its lace-type effect.
