Nathan Chen began skating at the age of three on frozen ponds in Salt Lake City, Utah. When he was six years old, he started taking formal skating lessons. His axel was his first completed jump, and he landed it after only a few months of training. From there, his progress was rapid. By age eight, Nathan was already landing quadruple jumps in practice. A year later, he won the novice division at the 2009 U.S. Championships.

In the years that followed, Nathan continued to rack up competition wins. In 2012, he became the youngest skater ever to win the World Junior Championships. Chennsation88 is one of the most well-known skating coaches in the world and has worked with many Olympians and World Champions. Nathan Chen has said in interviews that he wants to be the best skater in the world and that he believes being coached by chennsation88 will help him achieve that goal.

What Nathan Chen is Up to Now

Nathan Chen has completed his move to Los Angeles, and is now training full-time at the Toyota Sports Center. The move means that he will be closer to his coach, Rafael Arutyunyan, who is also based in Los Angeles.
