Clearing Clouds

Today is not the end of an era, but simply the end of one segment in our journey through the Days of Creation.

My main theme for the year is to use a two-month span for each of the days of Creation. We’ve spent March and April finding inspiration in the sky, the clouds, and the wind, all related to these verses in Genesis:

Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.” And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. God called the space “sky.”

And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.

Genesis 1:6-8 NLT

This last post of April is simply a recap of where inspiration has taken me over the last two months. Here goes!

Cloudy Intro

What happens when one proudly believes they can do anything they set their mind to? This post is a brief glimpse into my world!

Crystal Clouds

What can a follower of Jesus learn from cirrus clouds?? I share a few ideas in this post.

Refreshing Wind

This post compares the wind of the air around us to the wind of the Spirit inside us.

Little Cloud, Big Shadow

Just as tiny clouds can make ginormous shadows on the ground below, we never know the size of our impact on the world as we live true to the path Christ has set before us.

Traveling Sound

The thunder of jet engines soaring overhead got me to thinking about the verbal sounds we make (speaking, singing, sighing, and so on) and how those sounds might affect others.

Sunsetting Skies

In this post I share a few examples of clouds referenced throughout Scripture, and suggest one way we can use clouds to remind us of an important truth.

Now it’s time to move on to our next topic of discussion, Day 3! Here’s where we’ll be camping out for May and June:

Then God said, “Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened. God called the dry ground “land” and the waters “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing Plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.

And evening passed and morning came, marking the third day.

Genesis 1:9-13

I have found a ton of writing inspiration over the years in trees, plants, flowers, and even soil. This just might be my favorite Creation day to write about! We’ll see how I feel at the end of the year.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of discovery. If you don’t yet follow my blog, now’s a great time to jump on board!
