[FraminghamDems]A note from the Hugo Family (Mike Hugo, Dictator and master manipulator of the Hugo Family legacy) inbox

to FDC

June 21, 2023

Dear Members, Friends, and Fellow Democrats,

We are sending this email nearly simultaneously with Beverly’s statements tonight at the Framingham School Committee meeting. As fellow Past Chairs of the FDTC and FDC, we have given the past 7 years as Chair, and served for many years prior to our Chairmanships in various other offices.

When Beverly took over as Chair, we were facing the first years of the Trump presidency.(OMG!!!)

Our meetings were at the Framingham Green (Early adopters of social distancing. Noice!!), and while we had a full complement of regular members, we had no associate members when she was elected. We rose to 40 associate members within months of her taking the Chair, including names like Fusaris, Hooper-Hamersley, Hansen, Magnani, Spicer, Stoodt, and so many more fine Dems. Our attendance went from just over 20 TO 60, 70, 80 and more for our regular meetings! (Wow! You built that Mike in a town that voted for Clinton 68% to 24%) We had great programming with topics of general importance to the party as well as vibrant candidate forums and political actions-and great food! (Thanks for never supporting a downtown restaurant owned by an immigrant)

We got through the COVID years, and our Zooms had incredible participation with a high of 87 people on one of our calls. (We were encouraged to stay in, whatelse was going on? Not to mention your members becames Karens complaining when someone walked too close to their property or had their mask on their chin.) Our programming was so strong that it was not unusual for Dems from surrounding communities to ask for the link to join us and participate.(Yes you were part of a new religion and you were the high priest)

Our dedication to, and love for, the Framingham Democratic (Town) Committee is beyond question or debate. I can attest to the fact that Beverly would spend many hours each week and many more on a meeting week for her 4 years. As one of her Co-Vice Chairs, I, too, spent countless hours making sure that her programs were interesting and stimulating.(Nice of you to give credit to Bev. We know it was alllll you dude)

When I took over as your Chair, I took that opportunity to try to take on our city’s racist hate-speakers with anti-racism programming and trainings. Most of our members benefited greatly. (Really?!? You took on Harold Wolf, Jim and Joe Rizolli? And your members became haters themselves calling everyone that didn’t think or speak  like them “racist” and “hate mongers”. Disagreeing with the Mayor was called racist)

(Question for you anti-racists: Why did Spicer lose in a 2-1 margin? Did the town that voted Clinton in 2016 68-24 suddenly become racist? Or was she a poor leader? I guess we will go with racist residents. Did that anti-racist programming really work??)

At the same exact time as our landlord told us of his intentions to sell, Beverly was presented an opportunity for us to move onto her school’s new campus, in keeping with her status as the English Department Head and Senior Administrator.(incredible timing!!) The idea of leaving a community where our kids flourished and where we were surrounded by so many fine friends that we have grown to love and respect made it a very difficult choice. But this incredible opportunity for Beverly, along with the proximity to both of our jobs, became too difficult to not take advantage of. (OK so Bev has a job, what’s yours Mike?)

So, it is “with bittersweet emotions,” as Beverly said tonight to the Ochool Committee that she has served on so well for 7 terms, that we announce our resignations from the Framingham Democratic Committee as we prepare to leave Framingham at the beginning of July. (as they say, don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you)

For me, I look back at the amazing opportunity our three kids had in our schools and how they thrived among one of the most diverse student populations in the state preparing them for life. (Look at my kids! They have BIPOC friends!!) I look back at school plays, so many academic achievements the three of them amassed, coaching my son’s team in Little League to the championships (Fascist!!), volunteering as a swim official (Irony as your drowned Framingham, a couple months ago) , cringing as my too-small-for-the-helmet high school football player son took the field (the entire football team was described as gnomes and trolls by the coaches), chaperoning the FHS dance team trip to China to dance with the NBA Legends Tour (Kids bumping and grinding a little too sexist for us) , Beverly’s third-in-the-world academic competition team (back when meritocracy was a thing), and of course my own 15 years on the Board of Health (most of them as Chair) culminating in the closure of General Chemical after 11 months of hearings (our own RFI jr!! not), and saving Framingham from shouldering the economic blame for Mary Dennison Park (where is our new park already??)and being the only Board of Health in America to draft raw milk regulations that (You single handedly killed Doug’s Dairy operation with this over regulation. You delayed the sale of milk for over a year and put the farm at risk of BK, something you know about) the Canadian Government adopted and made into their national law (this started canada’s descent into fascist polices) , and the first Board of Health in America to draft a health regulation to attack the human sexual slave trade, which most of you never knew was present in Framingham! (Slammer probably knew unless he’s the one that tipped you off. He even gave the place high marks on YELP!)

I am most proud of Beverly’s accomplishments in education. She can take much credit for all-day free kindergarten, the first gender-neutral policy in any school system, and later as President of the Mass Association of School Committees bringing that policy state-wide and even later as a member of the National School Boards Association Federal Relations Advisory Council, making that national policy. She has been a staunch supporter of lunch for all, ending food shaming in our schools. (that was all her? She wasn’t the front for you? We find that hard to believe but so you say)

I can say that we did make our mark on Framingham (Yes indeed, you made us a worldwide phenomena in March) , and we are proud of our record here.( are you sure you don’t want to speak about how helped pass that proclamation by talking about killing the unborn with birth defects??)

We will be leaving Framingham but will continue to be present in many of the city’s community efforts (How can we miss you when you wont go away? Do you have a dummy Framingham address like the Student Slum snitch in Virginia?). I will be concentrating on federal elections through the “Together We Elect” organization as a member of its steering committee, and we will continue to participate in various state and local political races (by lying to the voters. We know you canvass and tell anyone voting for the opponent of your preferred candidate, that they are secret super maga maga republicans. Im sure youll now add in that they were inside on J6. Never mind that this is during the democrat primary. That’s why they are SUPER SECRET maga maga republican J6’ers)

Our paths will cross many times, as we both look forward to working with each of you in the coming years (Honestly Mike, we never liked you that much Stay away. And this is from a friend of yours that told us this). We will miss you all as Framingham residents as we enter the next passage of our lives.

Thank you for your dedicated service and for your friendships! (again thank you for making Framingham known world wide!! I never heard of Birthright before you spouted off. God of Woke Speed to both of you)

Michael and Beverly Hugo
