From a girl who used to live in LA, if you don’t want to stress, be out on time because the LA traffic is not a joke, so bring a snack just in case. Also, plan plan plan! You don’t want to have to go from one side of the city to the other, and then back again.

1. Hollywood Walk of Fame
The number one spot to see all of the stars. On the ground at least. There are more than 2500 stars on the Walk of Fame. If you want to take a picture with a specific star, you can go on their website to browse and find the exact spot for that star.
You can also go up and down to find spots and shops to take a picture in front of.
Fun fact: Did you know that the celebs who get nominated for a star must pay for the stars themselves, and the price has gone up to $50.000.

2. Hollywood Sign
The iconic Hollywood Sign is a must, whether you want to see it up close, see the back of it, or just from afar, it’s definitely one place you need to stop at since it’s one of the most instagrammable places in Los Angeles. You can see this sign from a lot of different places. You can’t get to the sign, but pretty close though.
To see it semi-close you can go to Lake Hollywood Park, which will get you a great picture with the sign behind you. It’s also a beautiful park where you can stop for a picnic in between photoshoots.

If you want to see it from behind, one of the most well-known things to do, you’ll have to hike up the Runyon Canyon to get there.
And from afar, there are a lot of places to see it. One of the most used locations for that is Griffith Observatory. You also have two scenic viewpoints that will show you the sign from far away. But you can also take a great Instagram photo with Los Angeles as your background. They’re right next to each other, on one of them you can park and go up a few stairs for the view, and on the other one, you’ll park your car and have the whole view there.

3. Runyon Canyon Park

If you love to take a little (or big) hike, Runyon Canyon is one of the most famous hiking routes to visit. A lot of celebs hike that same path, so you might run into one or two. It’s also a great place to have an overlook over Los Angeles.

4. Griffith Observatory
Griffith Observatory is a huge building where you can go in, or you can take a look at the beautiful view over the entire city, especially during the night. It’s also a place where they’ve shot a lot of scenes from movies, so it’s a must-visit on your LA to-do list.
As mentioned above, you can also see the Hollywood Sign from Griffith Park.

5. Venice Beach Boardwalk
At Venice Beach, you have a lot of different places to find a lot of great la Instagram spots.
You have the muscle beach outdoor gym where stars such as Arnold Swartznegger have been training. You can pay for a day pass if you’d like to gym, but you can be outside and watch too.
You might’ve heard of the famous Skate Park, if you’re a skater it could be a lot of great pictures, but even if you’re not, there are always palm trees and great views there. Especially during sunset.
You can continue down to the beach where you have the famous rainbow Lifeguard tower which is one of the most instagrammable places in la, but there are also a lot of other towers to get your pictures with.
And of course, you have the whole boardwalk with different shops, and you can also rent a bike and cycle to Santa Monica Beach if you’re feeling up for it.

6. Venice Sign
The hanging Venice Sign with all the palm trees in the background is one of the most instagrammable places in Los Angeles because it makes a perfect picture for your IG. If you’re there during the evening, a sunset shot might be even prettier.
But you need to be careful of your surroundings since it’s in the middle of the street.

7. Venice Canals
Right next to Venice Beach, you have Venice Canals. There are also a lot of beautiful houses that frame the picture beautifully. You have bridges over all of them so you can get the perfect shot, and in most canals, you also see boats in the water.

8. Santa Monica Pier
Santa Monica Pier has a lot of different things you can do, and take pictures with/in front of. You have the two Santa Monica signs, the water, and the Pacific Park, where you can take cool pics in front of the different rollercoasters, especially during the evening when you have all of the neon lights behind you. It’s also a great place to have a little lunch or dinner, depending on when you get there.

9. Getty Center Museum
If you’re into free museums, this is the place for you. If not, you can also go there to see this very special-shaped building to take your IG shots in front of. There are a lot of people taking pictures in front of the checkered wall.

10. Beverly Hills Hotel
One of the most Instagrammable places in Los Angeles is the Beverly Hills Hotel. You can take a picture of one of the signs for the hotel, or if you might be staying there you can also take it by the pool and the famous pink daybed.

11. Rodeo Drive
Rodeo Drive might be a perfect spot for you if you’re into shopping. If you’re not, it’s still a great la Instagram spot to visit where you have all of the stores behind you, or just on the streets.

At Malibu Beach you have a lifeguard tower to take pics by, you also have the Malibu Pier or you can just lay on the beach, take a swim and cool down between the photoshoots.

While you’re already in Malibu, why not try one of the trendy places in LA? Take a detour and go eat at Nobu which is one of the most instagrammable restaurants in Los Angeles, because you might even catch a celebrity or two while you snack on some food and take your amazing IG pics.

14. Dodger Stadium
Whether you’re into baseball, or even sports in general, Dodger Stadium also has a few signs outside of the arena that you can use as one of your LA Instagram spots.

15. Urban Lights / LACMA
This place right here really lights up your IG feed (see what I did there? no? oh okay..) Anyway, these lights are iconic and could be one of the coolest instagrammable places in Los Angeles, especially when they’re visited during the evening, which makes the best shots.

16. Sunset Strip
The famous Sunset Strip goes through West Hollywood and is a part of Sunset Boulevard, and is filled with restaurants, shops, and palm trees. While you’re driving around to other stops, a trip down Sunset strip will get you a pic or two.

17. TCL Chinese Theatre
You might get a ticket for a theatre or an IMAX movie while you’re there, otherwise, you can just take your IG pics outside, and also see some of the famous hand/footprints at the same time.

Whether you like to read or not, this bookstore is huge and it has different parts of the bookstore where they have put the books in a cool way, which means you can get your cool Instagram pictures.

19. Angeles Crest Highway
This highway travels over the San Gabriel Mountains and has beautiful scenic views. You can pull over and get your IG pictures, you can also hike to Switzer Fall if you wanna add a waterfall to your feed. This could be one of my fav instagrammable places in Los Angeles because the view is just amazing.
