Matrix Fight Night (MFN), India’s first-ever MMA promotion, is all set to return with their upcoming event Matrix Fight Night 13, which is set to take place on October 28th, 2023, at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Sector 21, Noida.
Once again, Matrix Fight Night 13 brings you a mouth-watering fight card, with the main event featuring two of the best fighters from the country.
MFN 13: Sanjeet Budhwar to defend his Featherweight gold against Shyamanand in the main event
In the wake of MFN 12, which took place on 1st July in Noida, MFN 13 is returning with a spectacular MFN Featherweight championship fight as its main event- featuring the defending champion Sanjeet Budhwar and the challenger Shyamanand. In the Welterweight co-main event, Indian fighter Jason Solomon will be up against Darkhanbek Ergeshev, hailing from Kyrgyzstan.
Sanjeet, aka the “Silent Killer”, is coming off a thrilling five round unanimous decision win over Atabek Abdimitalipov of Kyrgyzstan in the main event of MFN 1 in November last year, and was crowned the MFN Featherweight champ. Unbeaten in his last three MFN appearances, the Haryanvi expects to continue his win streak against Shyamanand.
“I feel like I am ready for any challenge that is thrown at me. Shyamanand has risen through the ranks and has earned a title shot. But while he thinks he is ready for me, he will be in for a surprise at MFN 13,” said Sanjeet.
Hailing from Bihar, Shyamanand defeated Mido Mohamed from Egypt at MFN 12 and following the win, called out Sanjeet, against whom Shyamanand has suffered his professional loss so far and aims to avenge the loss and become the new Featherweight titlist.
“I have been waiting to get in the cage with Sanjeet again for a long time. Winning the MFN title means everything because it represents that you are the best among the best. I will give my all to win and become the new MFN Featherweight Champion,” Shyamanand added.
