Joe Rogan Acknowledges Conor McGregor Leaving USADA Testing Pool: “You’re Not Going To Heal Off Eating Clean!”

There has been much controversy surrounding Conor McGregor going out of the Usada Testing Pool, but Joe Rogan acknowledges McGregor’s decision as he believes the former double champion isn’t going to heal by just eating clean.

“The Notorious” suffered a nasty leg fracture in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 back in July 2021, and the injury has sidelined McGregor for nearly two years at the moment.

However, the Irishman is now finally in conversations about making his much awaited comeback to the Octagon. Unfortunately, there is no definite window announced for McGregor’s return, courtesy of his ongoing feud with USADA.

The former Featherweight and Lightweight champ left the USADA Testing Pool last year, raising doubts among many that McGregor might be using banned substances now. All that being said, Joe Rogan understands why McGregor took this step.

You’re not going to heal off that just eating mangos: Joe Rogan

During a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, the color commentator acknowledged McGregor’s leave from the testing pool, saying that it is what he himself would to in McGregor’s place to recover from the injury, as eating clean won’t be sufficient.

“Let’s speculate. He got out of the USADA testing pool, this is what I would imagine if I was a pro athlete at Conor’s level, you need help.” said Rogan. “You’re not going to heal off that just eating mangos and f*cking eating clean, you need some help. I would want that person to take something. You’d have to consult with an expert sports medicine doctor who would tell you, ‘you want peptides, you want this, you want that.’”

“These are things you can’t take when you’re in USADA. You look at Conor after that leg break, he got f*cking jacked… I’m hoping Conor’s leg is okay. A leg break of that magnitude, Chris Weidman broke his leg in a similar way and he just recently competed in Polaris… For two years, he’s been recovering from this shin break, it’s just brutal. Some guys never bounce back, they’re never the same,” he added. [H/T BJPenn.com]
