He was recently in the news for getting felicitated by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri. Manohar Lal Khatter for producing a song ‘Hum Hindustani’ featuring film industry’s heavyweights like Amitabh Bachchan and Lata Mangeshkar alongwith Sonakshi Sinha, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan, Shradha Kapoor, Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam and many more. During the event he said that Mehta, in spite of coming from a small town like Karnal has done the region proud by being a part of such a big and prestigious project.
The chief minister was all praise for Mehta’s work and said that his contribution has been looked upon by many, the reason he has been felicitated. Paras Mehta is not a new name as he had earlier produced a film, Beti Padao, Beti Bachao, which he circulated amongst small villages in Haryana to spread the thought which formed the core basis of his film. The noble cause initiated by him was well appreciated, which resulted in him getting appreciation on a wide scale. At present, he has founded his own music company, Dhamaka Records, in partnership with Priyank Sharma, the son of actress Padmini Kolhapure. The label’s first song has been widely noticed, the reason he was chosen and felicitated for his work by the chief minister. There are other notable songs like ‘Yeh galiyaan, yeh chaubaara’ and ‘Baarish’ directed by Dinesh Soi, which have also gone well with the audiences.
