DGP GP Singh announces CID investigation into General Science paper leak for Class 10

On March 13, the Director General of Police in Assam, GP Singh, announced that the Crime Investigation Department would investigate the alleged leak of the General Science paper during the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam in Assam.

This decision was made after reports surfaced that the question paper had leaked on social media. The Assam Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) canceled the science exam a day before it was scheduled to take place and has yet to announce the new exam date. The cancellation follows the previous cancellation of the English section of the HSLC Exam 2023 due to issues at one of the centers in the Cachar district.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu also confirmed the cancellation on Twitter and assured that the next exam date would be announced soon. GP Singh stated on Twitter that a criminal case had been registered, and those responsible for the leak will be brought to justice.
