The best Netflix series of all time, according to fans

If you’ve ever been searching Netflix, unsure of what to watch next, you know how hard it can be to find the right show or movie, especially if you aren’t sure what genre you want or what your friends have suggested are good ones. So we thought we’d help narrow down your options by showing you the best Netflix series of all time, according to fans just like you, who voted on their favorites in this list of the 50 Best Series on Netflix Right Now—Ranked!

Stranger Things

Created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things aired in 2016 and stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, an Indiana mom who goes on a mission to find her son Will (Noah Schnapp) after he disappears. David Harbour also makes a big impression as Police Chief Jim Hopper with his upbeat attitude about everything… or does he? The series has been praised for its stellar cast and beautiful scenery that looks straight out of a Stephen King novel. As one online commenter put it: [It’s] one hell of a show that’s got me completely hooked!

House of Cards

After its first season in 2013, people were raving about House of Cards. In fact, they loved it so much that they couldn’t stop talking about it—and many even claimed it was one of the best TV shows in history. More recently, Kevin Spacey won an Emmy for his lead role as Francis Underwood and Robin Wright also picked up a few awards for her part as Claire Underwood. Fans said things like I literally could not stop watching! There’s no doubt about it: Kevin Spacey is amazing and deserves every single award he has gotten. House Of Cards is amazing!! David Fincher is a genius!! I have never enjoyed anything so much.

Riverdale

This CW drama is based on a comic book series. It’s described as a soapy noir and follows Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge. A hit with young adults, Riverdale has been called addictive by some fans (and overrated by others). The show won two Teen Choice Awards in 2017 (for Best Drama Series and Choice Breakout Series), along with four People’s Choice Awards that same year. And FYI: If you haven’t seen Riverdale yet, be warned there may be spoilers ahead! If you want to watch it yourself first here’s where to stream it.

Orange is the New Black

Fan favorites seem to change every month, but Orange Is the New Black is definitely up there. This dramatic comedy has something for everyone: romance, drama and comedy. The show centers on Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling), who is sentenced to 15 months in a women’s prison after being convicted of conspiracy to traffic drugs. Through flashbacks and flash-forwards—and with appearances from notable names like Laura Prepon (That ‘70s Show) and Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager)—the story gives viewers a peek into what it’s like inside a women’s prison. Because every season has 13 episodes or fewer and each one is just 22-30 minutes long, you can binge watch seasons 1-3 in less than two days.

The Crown

Netflix’s The Crown is a real-life show that revolves around Queen Elizabeth II and her reign over Great Britain. Following her progress from being crowned at 25-years-old through until now, The Crown has become one of Netflix’s most successful programs—especially among Brits.
