Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Unveiled: Outperforming x86 Chips with Double the Speed, 5G and Wi-Fi 7 Support

The exposed specifications show that the CPU and GPU of this chip can bring about twice the performance of the x86 architecture. The comparison here may be the 96EU Intel Raptor Lake processor (28W, 2.3TFLOPS), and its GPU can reach 4.6TFLOPS.

According to previous revelations, Qualcomm has developed three "Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4" chips, which should now be called "Snapdragon X". The highest-end model will be equipped with a 12-core CPU, which is the one exposed by VideoCardz today.

According to reports, the chip uses 12 high-performance cores, but there is no mention of high-performance cores, which is strange because a previous report suggested that it will be composed of eight performance cores and four performance cores.

In addition to the number of cores, this SoC will also Support LPDDR5X memory and support 136GB/s memory bandwidth.

According to reports, the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) will have a computing power of 45TOPS, and the unnamed Adreno GPU is said to bring a computing power of 4.6TFLOPS and can support up to 4K three-screen displays at the same time, which shows that it is likely to Support Thunderbolt 4 connection.

In other aspects, the Snapdragon X Elite is also equipped with a 5G modem, which is a feature missing from Apple's M series Macs. However, VideoCardz did not mention whether 5G is integrated or separately external.

In addition, VideoCardz also mentioned that the device supports 13 billion parameters and 30 Token/s 7B LLM, which will be helpful in generative artificial intelligence.

Qualcomm is expected to reveal the complete look of this product at the Snapdragon Summit on October 25. UrduWebHub will also bring you more reports at that time, so stay tuned.
