There are basically two types of couples in Hollywood: those like J-Zay and Beyoncé, who feature prominently on the red carpet, and those like Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes. They rarely give us a glimpse of their married life even though they've been together for over a decade. This article focuses on the latter. Here are 10 celebrity couples that you seldom see together.

RYAN GOSLING AND EVA MENDES

Ryan and Eva have been married since 2011 and have two daughters together, but the occasional paparazzi pic is the only evidence of this. It isn't to suggest they are ashamed. In fact, when Gosling accepted a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, his speech was all about his love for his family. He's a dedicated family man for sure.

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT AND TASHA MCCAULEY

Gordon-Levitt is a highly private guy, so it's probably not a surprise that we hardly ever see him out in public with his wife, Tasha, a scientist and CEO of a robotics firm.   

We know they have two sons, but they have never publicly revealed their names. Joseph has said he wants fans to focus on his characters and the stories they tell, not on who he is in real life.

PENELOPE CRUZ AND JAVIER BARDEM

Cruz and Bardem are among the biggest stars on the planet, yet they have made a considerable effort to keep their marriage under the radar. They've known each other for three decades and tied the knot in 2010, but they have both expressed the importance of keeping their relationship private. In fact, they credit the success of their marriage partially to the fact that they rarely discuss it publicly.

KERRY WASHINGTON AND NNAMDI ASOMUGHA

When the actress and producer attend events, she always goes solo. Few realize she's married to Asomugha, a retired NFL star considered one of the most excellent Oakland Raiders of all time. 

Although she likes to keep her family life personal, she did a recent interview with Marie Claire in which she revealed how she met Nnamdi and how much she loves her family and doing normal "mother" things like helping her two children with their homework.

JULIA ROBERTS AND DANIEL MODER

When Julia was married to Kiefer Sutherland… Lyle Lovett…and Benjamin Bratt, it made for great tabloid fodder. Perhaps that's why she made the right decision to keep her current (and most successful) marriage to cinematographer Daniel Moder under wraps. It's next to impossible to find photos of the family — which features three kids, including twins — but Roberts hasn't been shy about expressing her love for Moder in interviews with People and other celebrity publications.

DANIEL CRAIG AND RACHEL WEISZ

Given that Craig and Weisz are both A-list actors, it is imposing that they were able to get married in 2011 without getting a lot of attention. Rachel gave birth to their first child in 2018 at 48. 

As Weisz put it, it would be a betrayal for somebody as famous as Daniel to divulge much about his personal life, especially considering he's not a young celebrity anymore. She has noted that she has legally taken his last name and loves being "Mrs. Craig." 

SACHA BARON COHEN AND ISLA FISHER

Baron-Cohen and Fisher have known each other for 2 decades, had a quiet wedding ceremony in 2010 that included only 6 guests, and have three lovely children together. Although Isla says they are polar opposites in many ways, they share the same sense of humour. She's not big on attending big Hollywood parties, preferring to entertain guests at home for the kids' sake.

NICK OFFERMAN AND MEGAN MULLALLY

Offerman and Mullally have been married since 2003, and although 12-year age gaps are not unusual in Hollywood, the fact that he's the younger one is a novelty. Although you rarely see them on the red carpet, it doesn't mean they haven't been willing to talk about their marriage. As a matter of fact, they even co-wrote The Greatest Love Story Ever Told, a book that goes into detail about their relationship!

PAUL DANO AND ZOE KAZAN

Before Dano's breakout performance as The Riddler in "The Batman," he was featured most prominently in the Indie film circuits. He's been with Kazan since 2007, although it doesn't appear they've ever officially tied the knot. They kept the existence of their 4-year-old daughter on the down-low for a while, although Zoe recently said they are making it a priority to put parenthood over acting.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE AND COOKE MARONEY

Much like the case with Gosling and Mendes, the only photos of Jennifer and Cooke together are when they're walking down the street or getting into their car. If you've never heard of him, Maroney is a highly successful New York art director with a net worth of $25 million. However, that's only a fraction of Lawrence's estimated $160 million.
