Seller Consultant, Sales + Service – California

We interact with sellers to improve their experience, tailoring our approach to meet each customer where they are at in the process. Our team is responsible for a best-in-class consumer experience, leveraging our expertise to get every customer moving in unlocking their next chapter. We are central to Zillow Group’s mission of integrating offerings across the Zillow platform, making it easier for customers to sell their homes.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for corresponding with customers looking to sell their homes over the phone and via SMS or email for customers looking to sell their homes
  • Working directly with sellers to uncover their specific needs and offer solutions leveraging Zillow Group’s products and services
  • Support customers in navigating obstacles through providing education and insight using exceptional communication and consultation skills
  • Connect customers to the appropriate Zillow Group product through an understanding of real estate and a commitment to creating a best-in-class consumer experience
  • Deliver a world-class customer experience, build strong rapport with customers and help customers feel confident in taking the next step towards selling their home 
  • Drive accountability for yourself and your team through proactive engagement with your peers and active involvement in team discussions and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance to established real estate guidelines, policies, and regulations 
  • Possess an understanding of the real estate business to be able to accurately identify customers’ priorities and guide them to the right offerings to fit their needs
  • Respond to changes in the business with agility and adeptness at navigating ambiguity

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $23.50 – $37.50 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Active real estate license in California (Required)
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer facing role 
  • 1+ year(s) of demand generation/sales experience
  • Must be comfortable conducting both inbound and outbound sales calls; skilled in discovery and objection handling 
  • Ability to storytell and to engage customers in an authentic way to drive trust in Zillow Group products and services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with 3rd party stakeholder information and processes with integrity
  • Strong problem solving skills 
  • Willing and able to work flexible schedules – including weekends, early mornings, late nights and holidays
