Human Resources Services Representative

Foot Locker is seeking an experienced Human Resources Services Representative to join their dynamic and collaborative team. The Human Resources Service Center is the first point of contact for all Total Rewards (Benefits, Compensation, HR Management Systems, Mobility) customers. The HR Services Representative provides an elevated level of customer service in response to associate and retiree questions, telephonically and via email. This individual provides administrative and clerical support for Total Rewards and must be well versed in Benefits knowledge to direct our team members accordingly. The HR Services Representative is a key resource for the day-to-day administration of Foot Locker Total Rewards programs!

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Foot Locker’s employment policies, ERISA, US Benefits, Canadian Benefits, Retirement Benefits, and changing regulations for Federal State and Local Laws.
  • Partners with supervisor to monitor and apply understanding of corporate policies/practices and employment laws in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Conducts data analysis and collection of case management and HRIS system metrics to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Responds to team member’s benefits questions, create service now cases, research information, communicate with team members via phone as needed and assist with problem resolution within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Answer internal phone calls and emails from team members in a timely manner. Solve inquiries within a two-business day period unless escalated to a supervisor for review
  • Actively monitors case load volumes to ensure effective response and resolution in effort to escalate complex issues and cases where appropriate.
  • Monitor Leave of Absence cases by tacking dates of leave and return, benefit deductions while out on leave, communications sent to team members, and payment plans during leave or upon return
  • Administers HR Services emails, completing government-required forms, processing of benefit related enrollment forms, resolving system errors, assisting with Self-Service functionality, coordinating billing, and coverage for individuals on leave of absence.
  • Assist in analysis and decoding of data to sets for monthly dashboard analytics.
  • Coordinates the entry of team member records in People Soft according to their life event changes
  • Audit system variance through the review of PeopleSoft queries, and submit life insurance claims
  • Supports project initiatives, regulatory audits, legal inquiries, team member support, and other duties as assigned.

  • Influence – Human Resources Services Representative monitors process controls and assist with the coordination process administration.
  • Communication skills – impactful consultative interactions depend on the efficient flow of information through the company. The ability to listen and effectively respond to people’s concerns, while maintaining high quality customer service is important for this position
  • Analytical skills – the role works to coordinate process administration, special projects, root cause analysis, and leverages specialized technical skills to support sustained observations and decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline. Prior experience in the HR or Benefits sector and PHR or SHRM-CP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Passion for working with diverse groups of people and the ability to apply solutions using standard procedures. 
  • Requires understanding of company’s policies as well as applicable employment regulations.
  • Minimum 2+ years 2+ years of HR, Benefits, customer service and/or call center experience.
  • General knowledge of employment and HR related laws, regulations, policies, and principles
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to take direction effectively, act independently, and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Superior attention to detail; anticipate future needs for both day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Benefits experience in the following industries preferred: Retail, Banking, Manufacturing, Call Center, and/or Shared Service Center.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or HRIS experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume in fast paced matrixed environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with both vendors and associates at all levels in a professional, respectful, cooperative, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and proactively and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of highly sensitive employee information.
  • Demonstrates positive customer service and collaborative demeanor with experience driving an inclusion workplace.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Benefits

The base salary range is $19.50 – $20.19 / per hour. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
