2 Drivers Hurt After Self-Driving Car Crashes on 10 Freeway in West Los Angeles

 
WEST LOS ANGELES, CA (May 15, 2024) — Two people suffered moderate injuries in a self-driving car accident on the 10 Freeway near Bundy Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car collision happened on the 10 East Freeway near Bundy Drive. Under unclear circumstances, a Waymo vehicle crashed into another driver as its self-driving capabilities were activated. Subsequently, paramedics responded and took the driver in the Waymo vehicle and the other driver to a hospital for treatment of mild to moderate injuries.
 
Following the incident, authorities investigated the scene to identify any clues that could have factored into the accident. Thus far, police said speed might have factored into the cause. If any witnesses could help traffic investigators, please call the CHP.
