Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicles on Highway 120 in Manteca

 
MANTECA, CA (May 15, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by multiple cars on Highway 120 near Main Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 4:52 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a woman was standing in the road of Highway 120. Subsequently, a car heading westbound at about 65 miles per hour attempted to swerve but its driver struck the woman anyway with the rearview mirror.
 
Subsequently, possibly two vehicles ran over the woman on the ground.
 
Shortly after, CHP officers arrived at the scene and found the first driver but could not account for the second and possibly the third vehicle involved. Tragically, the female pedestrian passed away from her injuries. Officials did not release her name.
