Fatal DUI Motorcycle Crash on Jackson Avenue in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (October 24, 2023) — One person died in a DUI motorcycle accident on Jackson Avenue at Alexian Drive.
 
According to the San Jose police, the DUI motorcycle crash happened around 1:00 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a 2003 Dodge truck driver heading northbound failed to yield while turning left into an apartment complex. Subsequently, the Dodge struck a southbound 2013 Kawasaki motorcyclist.
 
Moments later, paramedics responded and brought the motorcycle rider to a hospital where he passed away. Officials have not released the individual’s name.
 
At the scene, the Dodge truck driver stayed and complied with officers, who later determined that DUI played a part. They arrested the driver, booking the man into the Santa Clara County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol.
