Hit-and-Run Bike Crash Injures Boy at Mayberry Avenue in Hemet

 
HEMET, CA (October 24, 2023) — A boy riding a bike was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver at Mayberry Avenue and Meridian Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle crash happened around 9:20 a.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, a driver left the scene after striking the boy riding his bike toward Dartmouth Middle School less than half a mile away.
 
Reports said the child biked through a stop sign at Mayberry Avenue before the crash.
 
Subsequently, Hemet Fire Department paramedics reached the scene and assessed the boy, determining that he did not require further treatment.
 
Traffic investigators have no information on the vehicle or driver involved. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
