1 Hospitalized, Detained in Deputy-Involved Fight at Whites Canyon Road in Canyon Country

 
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (October 23, 2023) — One person was injured and arrested following a deputy-involved fight at Whites Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road.
 
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials, the incident occurred Thursday at the intersection.
 
For an unknown reason, a person was in the middle of traffic at the intersection. Subsequently, a deputy responded, concerned about the individual’s safety. However, the deputy and the pedestrian engaged in a fight as the person was uncooperative. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan was able to step in and help subdue the person.
 
Following the incident, officers arrested the individual on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol and resisting arrest.
 
By 6:05 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived and left the scene to transport the suspect.
