2 Deputies Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Police Pursuit Crash near San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood

 
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 23, 2023) — Two officers required medical care following a hit-and-run police chase accident near San Vicente Boulevard and Cynthia Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the hit-and-run happened just before 4:35 p.m. Thursday. Deputies with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to a burglary call. Subsequently, a pursuit of the burglary suspect began briefly until the robber made a U-turn and slammed into the deputies’ vehicle.
 
Both officers suffered minor to serious injuries and were taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center. However, the suspect escaped, and now officers need witnesses’ help in searching for the driver of the black Dodge Challender with a Nevada license plate.
 
Reckless drivers do exist and often do not take in consideration public road safety. Look out for these drivers. Stay out of their way but continue to drive defensively. Pay attention to motorists who tailgate, speed, run stop signs and weave in and out of traffic lanes.
