Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle while Walking in Bike Path on Kimber Drive in Thousand Oaks

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (October 17, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Kimber Drive and Baxter Street in Thousand Oaks on Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 10:00 a.m. on October 15. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the man was walking in a bicycle lane in the vicinity when a vehicle struck him.
 
The man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
At this time, the name, age and city of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the female driver of the vehicle stopped and did not attempt to flee after the crash.
 
On Tuesday, sheriff’s officials said the driver was a 16-year-old juvenile.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
