James Dalton Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 150 near Red Mountain Fire Road

 
OJAI, CA (October 17, 2023) — James Dalton died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 150 near Red Mountain Fire Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened Sunday afternoon. For an unknown reason, James Arthur Dalton allowed his eastbound 2004 Harley-Davidson to travel into the westbound lane, into the path of a 2019 Land Rover SUV. Subsequently, both vehicles collided.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived but Dalton passed away from his injuries. His 36-year-old female passenger from Ventura reportedly suffered a broken arm and fractured ribs. As for the 64-year-old man driving the Land Rover, reports did not clearly specify if he reported any injuries.
 
At this time, traffic investigators are looking into the factors, including impairment. If anyone has additional insight into this 2:30 p.m. crash, please call the CHP.
