DUI Driver Crashes Head-On into Van Carrying People with Disabilities on Highway 129 in Aromas

 
AROMAS, CA (August 31, 2023) – Six people were injured in a DUI head-on crash on Highway 129 outside of Aromas Wednesday afternoon on August 30.
 
Shortly after 1:00 p.m., a van swerving along the highway collided head-on into another van carrying people with disabilities.
 
Six people from the struck van were transported to nearby hospitals. Cal Fire confirmed that one person suffered major injuries and five others had moderate injuries.
 
Three ambulances and an air ambulance transported the injured patients.
 
Authorities later arrested the driver of the first van for driving under the influence.
 
It is unknown how many of those injured have disabilities.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
