Off-Duty Garden Grove Officer Dies after Colliding His Motorcycle with Another Vehicle in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (August 9, 2023) – Cpl. Han Cho was killed in a motorcycle accident in Anaheim Monday afternoon on August 7.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 3:00 p.m. at Glenoaks Avenue and Euclid Street. According to the Anaheim Police Department, Cho was riding a motorcycle on his way home from work when he collided with a car at the intersection.
 
Cho suffered grave injuries after the crash. The other driver was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated. He sustained minor to moderate injuries.
 
Responding paramedics rushed both men to a hospital, where Cho was pronounced dead.
 
Cho was with the Garden Grove Police Department for 28 years and was assigned to the Neighborhood Traffic Unit. His age was not immediately available.
 
Authorities do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
