Jaywalking Pedestrian Suffers Fractured Leg and Broken Wrist after Hit by Car on Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard

 
RANCHO PENASQUITOS, CA (July 14, 2023) – A 63-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard Tuesday morning on July 11.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was jaywalking when an eastbound 2003 Acura struck him in the 13400 block of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard around 10:15 a.m.
 
Paramedics responded and took the victim to a hospital for treatment of a compound fracture to his left leg and a broken left wrist.
 
It is unknown if the involved driver stayed after the crash.
 
The accident is still under investigation.
