Fernando Garcia, Raybon Johnson Among Detained in Police Pursuit Crash, Burglary at Whitnall Highway and Avon Street

 
BURBANK, CA (May 16, 2023) — Fernando Garcia and Raybon Johnson were arrested following a police chase accident and theft at Whitnall Highway and Avon Street.
 
According to Los Angeles police, the theft happened around 5:15 a.m. Thursday. In the 300 block of North Avon Street, officers responded to a call about several suspects stealing a catalytic converter.
 
Authorities arrived and found three suspects in two separate vehicles leaving the scene. One of the vehicles, a Dodge Challenger, ended up crashing into one of the patrol vehicles at Whitnall Highway and Avon Street. The officer suffered minor injuries in the crash.
 
The two suspects in the Dodge reportedly exited the vehicle and hopped into a second vehicle, a Cadillac CTS. Subsequently, officers pursued the Cadillac in a high-speed chase through Burbank.
 
Moments later, the pursuit ended when the driver stopped near Magnolia Boulevard and Mariposa Street. There, the suspects tried to leave the scene. However, police arrested two of them immediately after and the third one a short time later.
 
Authorities identified them as 20-year-old Fernando Garcia, 18-year-old Raybon Johnson and an unidentified 17-year-old boy. Police arrested them for multiple felonies.
