Elderly Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Chino

 
CHINO, CA (May 14, 2023) – Karin James was killed in a pedestrian accident in Chino Wednesday evening on May 10.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:23 p.m. on Euclid Avenue, just south of Pine Avenue. According to the Chino Police Department, James was walking on Euclid Avenue when a vehicle traveling southbound struck her.
 
The driver of the vehicle immediately called authorities and stayed at the scene.
 
Officers arrived soon after and pronounced James at the scene.
 
James was 79 years old from Ontario.
 
This fatality is still under investigation. Police are seeking witnesses, security camera footage, or any additional information about the case.
