Daniel Miller Charged in DUI, Police Pursuit Crash at Sierra Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (May 2, 2023) — Daniel Miller was arrested in a DUI police chase accident at Sierra Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue.
 
According to Fontana Police, the police pursuit started around 3:49 p.m. on April 27. Officers received a call about a reckless and possible drunk driver in the area. Subsequently, the officer spotted a black Hyundai Elantra swerving in the north lanes near the intersection and tried to run a traffic stop.
 
However, the driver did not comply and led police on a chase. The driver sped up until he slammed into two other cars waiting at the red traffic light at Sierra Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue.
 
One person in one of the vehicles reported injuries and sought care at a local hospital as a precaution. Miller, the 33-year-old driver who fled from police, also suffered injuries. Police officers booked him into West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of DUI.
 
Officials reported no other information on the chase or crash, but authorities will look into the details to identify other factors contributing to the accident.
