4 Hospitalized, Motorcycle, Car Crash on Highway 154 in Lake Cachuma

 
LAKE CACHUMA, CA (April 24, 2023) — Four people were injured in a motorcycle and car accident on Highway 154 near Lake Cachuma.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. For unknown reasons, two riders on a motorcycle crashed into a passenger vehicle. The male and female riders suffered critical injuries in the collision, and two people in the sedan sustained minor injuries.
 
Arriving Santa Barbara County Fire Department brought the four patients to Cottage Hospital for treatment.
 
Due to the accident, commuters faced a double-lane closure on the highway in both directions. By 7:30 p.m., officials reopened the eastbound lane before opening the westbound lane around 8:00 p.m.
 
At this time, CHP officers from the Buellton area will be looking into the details of this crash, including the factors. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
