Emily Moreth Dies in Single-Car Crash in Beaumont

 
BEAUMONT, CA (November 14, 2022) — Emily Moreth died in a solo-car accident on the 10 Freeway near Oak Valley Parkway on Friday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident happened around 4:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, 81-year-old Moreth was speeding in her gray SUV. Subsequently, she lost control of her vehicle and smashed into a sign and through a freeway guardrail before crashing into a ditch.
 
Soon after, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
It appears no other vehicles were involved in the accident. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm the details that occurred. If anyone has more information, don’t hesitate to contact the CHP.
