Why Was She Fired From Three’s Company?

Suzanne Somers, well-known for her role as Chrissy Snow in the ABC sitcom Three’s Company, was at the center of a significant controversy leading to her departure from the show.

Somers’ journey into the world of Three’s Company was somewhat unconventional.

After initial actresses Suzanne Zenor and Susan Lanier failed to impress the producers during the show’s pilot episodes, she was suggested for the role.

Portraying the stereotypical character of a dumb blonde working as an office secretary, she quickly became a central figure in the series, which revolved around humorous misunderstandings.

However, it was during the show’s fifth season, in late 1980, that the controversy unfolded.
