Grandparents

Mabel Ray’s grandparents are David Andrew Willis and Marlene Willis from her father’s side. David Andrew Willis was an American soldier who passed away on September 3, 2009, at 79. 

The war veteran was married to Marlene Willis, a banker. Marlene and David met for the first time in Germany, where David was stationed.

Bruce Willis was also born in the West German town of Idar-Oberstein. Later, the Willis family relocated to the USA, and David started working as a welder to support his family. 

He later took up a job in a factory. In 1971, David and Marlene decided to separate. David remarried Alma Willis, who happens to be Mabel Ray’s step-grandmother. 

A supportive and doting mother to Bruce, Marlene Willis made a rare appearance in the Live Free or Die Hard actor’s documentary released in 2013. Despite being camera-shy, Marlene accompanied Bruce when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006.

On her mother’s side, Mabel Ray has a grandmother named Zorina. Unfortunately, little is known about her maternal grandfather since he seems estranged from Emma’s family. 

As per Emma Frances Hemming Willis’ website, her mother belonged to the Guyanese ethnicity. Her father was an English man who divorced Zorina when Emma was a little girl. After this, he remained away from his ex-wife and daughter.

Mabel also has half-siblings from her father’s previous marriage to actress Demi Moore. Their names are  Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis.
