Aaren Simpson’s father, Orenthal James Simpson, was born in San Francisco, US, on July 9th, 1947. Her grandparents from her father’s side were Eunice Simpson, along with Jimmy Simpson.

Eunice worked as a hospital administrator, and Jimmy was a chef and a bank custodian. Aaren also had an uncle from her father’s side named Melvin Leon Simpson. Her two aunts are Carmelita Simpson Jackson and Shirley Simpson Baker.

Aaren’s father, mainly known as OJ Simpson, is a former American football player. He is also a commentator and actor.

After graduating from Galileo High School, he joined the University of Southern California. According to reports, OJ had received an athletic scholarship from UCLA. There he played as a running back for the university’s football team.

After University, OJ Simpson had a record-breaking career in football. He played for the Buffalo Bills in National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons. Due to his exceptional football skills, he held several records talked about now.

After his retirement, OJ worked as a football broadcaster and continued acting. He mainly served as a commentator for The NFL on NBC and Monday Night Football. Likewise, he also hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in its third season.

Aaren’s mother, Marguerite L. Whitley, was born on March 20th, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, US. She was entirely private about her life, even during her relationship with Simpson.

Several sources claim that she was a homemaker who used most of her time raising her children. Even at the conviction of her ex-husband, she never spoke publicly on the topic.

Aaren’s parents were high-school sweethearts while studying at Galileo High School. But, before their relationship, Marguerite was dating OJ’s best friend, Al ‘AC’ Cowlings.

Sources claim Simpson met Whitley when Al Cowlings asked him to talk to his girlfriend. Cowlings asked OJ to speak to Marguerite as they were having some relationship issues.

But, instead of sorting the subject, both OJ and Marguerite fell for each other. The incident then led Marguerite to break up with Cowlings so that she could date Simpson.

After that, the couple dated and tied the knot when they were only 19 years old in 1967. During the time, OJ was still a freshman at USC.

After one year of their marriage, the pair welcomed their first child, Arnelle, in 1968. They had a son named Jason in 1970. On the other hand, Aaren was born nine years after her elder brother.

Divorce of parents of Aaren Simpson

Several problems had started to emerge in OJ and Marguerite’s relationship. Sources claim that the issues arose due to OJ’s popularity and his infidelity.

Simpson revealed to a magazine that his growing status was the problem in his marriage. Whitley claimed that her then-husband was a beast and a horrible person to Look Magazine in 1968.

Sources claimed that there were calls made to the police about domestic disturbance and violence at the Simpson home in West LA. However, both OJ and Marguerite claim that they had no violent issues.

Furthermore, in January 1995, in an interview with Barbara Walters, Marguerite said, “If he (OJ) did hit me, he would have gotten a frying pan upside the head. There is no way I would have let that happen to me.”

But Whitley did admit that she was aware of Simpson’s infidelities in the interview.

In 1979, five months before her death, Aaren’s parents finally finalized the divorce. Marguerite had gotten their family home and children’s custody with $26k as settlement.

After the death of Aaren Simpson and the end of their marriage, OJ went on to marry his late ex-wife, Nicole Brown.

In contrast, Marguerite Whitley first married a transit supervisor named Rudolph Lewis. Then, she married a furniture sales representative named Anthony Thomas.

How did Aaren Simpson die?

Aaren had reportedly died from falling and drowning in the family pool. The accident took place only a few weeks before her second birthday.

During the unfortunate event, she was alone. Aaren was later found unconscious by her mother, Marguerite Whitley. According to reports, Whitley had called paramedics as soon as she saw Aaren floating lifeless in the pool.

The Simpson family had a sense of hope if the paramedics could revive Aaron by performing CPR.

They put her on life support and rushed her to the University of California (UCLA) Medical Center. Aaren fell into a coma for a few days.

Simpson’s family’s hopes were shattered when Aaren took her last breath on August 26th, 1979. Regardless of the top-class medical attention, she could not recover from the incident. She had gone through respiratory failure.

Losing Aaren was a devastating blow to an already dysfunctional family. They held a private funeral for her, which close family and friends only attended.

At the funeral, her parents requested the attendees who wanted to donate to the family instead give the funds to the UCLA Cancer Research Center in Aaren’s name.

Despite being a celebrity, OJ Simpson decided to keep the media away from the funeral as it was a difficult moment for his family. Aaren Simpson was buried in Culver City.

This is the same cemetery where Hollywood actress Sharon Tate was buried after being brutally murdered by Charles Manson and his family members when she was eight and a half months pregnant.

Today, OJ Simpson’s daughter, Aaren, is resting peacefully in Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, LA.
