It is now the most popular of its kind as it holds a very diverse botanical heritage with being an abode for Himalayan Meadows and Alpine Shrubs. WHEN TO GO FOR THE VALLEY OF FLOWERS?

In-monsoon one should visit this national park since it is filled with flowers during the monsoon. It’s interesting that humans were ignorant about this place before 1931 when the area was discovered by Mr. Frank Smith.

The last inhabited village on their way in Flowers Valley trail is Ghangaria. As you arrive down in the picturesque village at the junction, it would be quite enlightening to visit the village and see for yourself the simple lives they lead, their customs and traditions. On the way to Govindghat, another beautiful place you can visit is Bhyundar Village in Ghangaria. The village people are extremely hardworking. Villagers on the way — you can see them and they love guests very much!

VALLEY OF FLOWERS NATIONAL PARK TRAVEL ADVISORIES

• The valley opens its doors on June 1st each year for public entry. It remains open until October from June.

• Begin early in Ghangaria for extra time in The Valley of Flowers. That place is a World Heritage Site-You have to fill your name out in the visitor's book, cough up the entry fees, and leave your plastic bottles behind for the rangers.

• Valley of Flowers will open its gates every day at 7.00 a.m. and the last entry of this park is allowed until 2.00 p.m. Time in/time out is approximately 1 p.m. — 5 p.m.

• Include some additional pairs of Socks, Gloves, Poncho / Raincoats, and Additional Batteries to your Camera, while The Valley’s beauty gets highlighted between mid-May June, and September.

• However, favored months are those with the most blooms in July and July.

• Tourists wishing to travel to the Valley of Flowers should research weather and road conditions, especially during the monsoon season.
